Video Transcript

" Hi my name is Sarah Stetner I'm expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village. I'm just going to show you how to canter a figure 8. So my horse has stopped right now. I'm going to ask him to pick up a canter and he is going to switch leads in the middle. He is going to do a simple lead change. There are two lead changes there is a flying lead change and a simple lead change that horses do. A simple lead change is were they trout in the middle and then pick up the other lead. A flying lead change is were you were the horse is going and then you tell them to switch and he just switches without any steps in the middle. I'm just going to show you a simple lead change. We are going to go to the right first on a figure 8 you always want to go back to the middle of your circle. Right there I did my lead change for you and then you stop. Holt. That is how you do a figure 8 at the canter."
