" Hi my name is Sarah Stetner I'm a expert horse rider on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment I'm just going to show you a fun little trick how to side pass it is not a trick but you can do it. So I tighten up my reins my horses reins getting him to learn how to side pass is really tough but I put contact on both of his reins. I'm just going to turn right here and he is going to cross over in the front and crossover back and go to the side one way then the other. So I will show you there and I'm going to kick with this leg to get him to go over and kick with the opposite leg to get him to go that way. So I'm going to kick with my left leg to go right. So. Over. Over. So that is how you get him to go that way. Now I'm going to get him to go left. You want to keep contact with him. I tell him over. You want to keep contact with his head and keep his head as straight as you can and just push his body over. So that is side passing. You use that side pass to get mail. Side pass to close the gate. It is a really good technique to have."
