" Hi this is Scott Thompson from expertvillage.com, and today I'm going to demonstrate a way to build an ocean in a bottle, and demonstrate that some solutions just do not mix. Here is one that I made about 10 years ago. It was in a classroom setting, so we took a precaution of using a piece of plastic on a pull top opening, and a rubber band also—I didn't know if students would pop that open just to kinda have some fun or not. But this shows how long they can really last. You can also put it in a decorative bottle, like maybe a skinny maple syrup bottle, or some kind of odd-shaped bottle...show it off. And it can last for a long long time. "
