How to Use a Paper Clip for the Water Surface Tension Experiment

" Hi this is Scott Thompson from expertvillage.com, and today we are going to demonstrate how you can show a group of students that water actually has skin. Next part of the demonstration it is going to show that water has skin by floating small objects such as these paper clips right on the water. I took one clip earlier and carefully took the inside part and bent it upward, almost so it makes a little flat kind of a boat. The only thing to be careful about is that center little end of the paper clips sticking up has to be folded in such away so it doesn't stick further up off the bottom of our little boat, because that would actually poke through the water skin and sink the boat. So you might need to adjust that as you go, to make sure that it is just perfect."
