"A few of the common mistakes that you'll encounter while learning or doing Manual Front Side 180's will be of course messing up on the Manual on your way to the end of the obstacle. The others will be just before you get to the end of the Manual pad, if your body's not twisted enough, you may land ninety degrees. Of course if you land ninety degrees, you can't continue rolling forward. You're just going to stop. Another common problem is when you get to the end, your feet aren't in exactly the right position to Front Side 180. When you head for your Front Side 180, it causes the board to fall out from underneath your feet. It may start to do some flipping. One common way to avoid that would just be to have a really good setup. For the Front Side 180 Out, another way to avoid that would be to have your twist ready to turn before you get out. One way to think about it is, you want to build up a little bit of steam before you get to the end, otherwise you won't have enough turn to get you to roll away. Another pretty easy mistake to make with the Manual Front Side 180 would be to land with too much foot on your nose or too much foot on your tail. That'll cause you to be short of the distance and do kind of a Tic Tac. One way to avoid that is just before you come out of the Manual is to have your body in the right position and build up the steam on the turn so that you land totally 180. There's nothing worse than doing a Manual 180 and landing and having to fix it as you roll away. The Manual 180 looks the best and is the best when it's performed and done and you go totally 180 and land exactly 180 degrees to Fakie."
