"A great variation of the front side nose grind is to learn it going backwards and do a fakie nose grind. Fakie front side nose grind means that you're going to want to approach the ledge with the ledge on your front side. You're going to want to ollie up onto the top of the ledge and grind backwards on your front truck, and then land fakie and continue rolling away. So the same rules apply as the front side nose grind. You're going to want to spend most of your time trying to ollie and shift your weight onto the nose and grind and then roll away. So this ledge here, I'll show you can example. You're going to want to roll up with your front side facing the ledge and now fakie ollie, go above the ledge, land in a nose grind position, fakie nose grind, and then land fakie again and roll away. The foot placement that you're going to need for the fakie nose grind is very similar to the nose grind, only picture the entire trick backwards. So, while rolling backwards you set up with your feet slightly to the front because you're going to have to bring all of your weight to the front. So, ollie with your foot close to the front, shift your weight onto the nose, do a fakie nose grind, and then at the end, sometimes this can be the hardest part, is exit the trick and roll away fakie. And that's how you do a fakie nose grind."
