"Shuffling is very important to poker maybe I'm stating the obvious. But the goal when you shuffle cards is to get a truly random sampling of cards. You don't want to have all of the sequential values in a suit clumped together the way the new deck comes out of the package. You don't want to damage the cards so we are going to talk about how to do that, how not to damage the cards. We are going to talk about the best way to get a random shuffle that is not flashy and lets face it, you want your card deck to last because poker cards like natural resources aren't cheap. So we are going to discuss a truly random shuffle now that anyone can do it is not flashy I can do it with thumbs like these so probably you can too."
