Ahhh the sweet breeze through your hair, the smell of exhaust fumes and the roar of the crowd... these are all things you will not experience with RC racing since you can't actually fit inside the car yourself but if you put a small action figure inside one at least someone can experience the rush of uncontrollable speed. Seriously though RC racing is becoming more and more popular every year with the development of faster engines and more reliable controllers the accuracy of these small speed demons is increasing exponentially. In parallel with that is the durability of these little buggers. You can drop them from up to 20 feet up and not damage the car. Now that's built Ford tough.
In this free video series our expert, Robert, shows you everything you need to know when getting into RC racing. You'll learn how to pick the right car, frame, tires, engine, even spare parts. Each of these videos is dedicated to making sure you know exactly what you are doing in this industry and how to be more competitive with the top dogs in the RC circuit. Robert even extends a bit of his expertise to RC choppers and shows you how to fly them.
"I'm Robbie, speaking for Expert Village. Talking about radio control cars today. Generally there's two types. You have your battery operated and your nitro operated car. The biggest difference between the two. Battery operated, simple, easy to use, pretty much instant to get started with it. You get a battery, charge it up, put it in the car, and you're playing. Limited run time is your biggest disadvantage to the electric cars. The nitro car is much more popular, more complicated, but they're the cooler of the two. They've got actual motors in them, they run off of nitro methane. A blend of nitro methane, ethanol, synthetic Castrol based oils. What's good about them is that you do not have the limitation of runtime. Fire them up before it runs out of gas, bring it back in, fill it up, keep right on running. They make cool sounds, they're just a whole lot more fun. Nitro?s are our largest sellers by far. You see more of them on the race track than anywhere else."
