How to Tie a Seizing Bend

"Now a seizing bend is a, is a new bend it's really new. It was developed in the eighties and what it does is it, it seizes your line in a, in a blood knot type way. Similar to a sheet bend with just a blood knot put in it really. So what we're going to do here is we're going to look at our line that I have here and I got my light my nice large line here and I got my smaller line. And what I'm going to do is take my smaller line. I'm going to pull out a lot of length because I'm going to need it on this one. I'm going to take and rap a loop into it like so, so now I've got a loop right here on my rope. What I'm going to do is I'm going to come up here, up close to the top and I'm going to take and I'll make a loop here. Now what I'm going to do is in typical blood knot fashion, I'm just going to take it; actually I'm going to have to pull a lot more out. What I'm going to do is wrap it over and I'm going to take these two lines and making sure that everything is tight here and here. I'm going to pull this line, just going to wrap it around like so, however far down we need, I'm going to slide it down a little bit because I've run out of link here. There we go, now what I'm going to do is I'm going to take this loop, this initial loop that I created here at the bottom, I'm going to take it up and around and pull the working end of my large line. What it's going to do as it tightens down, it's going to tighten down onto the barrel knot shape that I've created here and create a nice tight bend."
