"Before we actually get into playing the game, let's talk a little bit more about the cues. What we would like to talk about, here, is your choices that you have as far as material construction goes. Today's cues are generally made in only three different materials. We've got the old standard wooden cue which is a wooden shaft, wooden butt section. And, then we have cues that are made out of graphite and fiberglass. This particular cue, right here, happens to be a combination of both graphite in the butt section, and fiberglass overlay over a wooden shaft. Now, why would you select one cue as opposed to another cue? That's really personal preference. The old timers, like myself, we're use to a particular feel. And, that feel that we like is what comes from wood. When the wooden shaft with this leather tip on here and a wooden handle, when it strikes the cue ball, it gives us a particular vibration through the cue that we have become accustomed to, therefore, that's what we like. But, if you're a mere beginner, you can choose whatever you like. Whatever you become accustomed to, becomes what you like, take whatever you want."
