"Hi! Welcome back to Expert Village. I'm Pete Perata. As the last segment of this section I'm going to teach you the one handed cut. Now this is a cut that looks a little snazzy and is sure to impress. It might take you a little while to get it down, but keep trying you will get it. In order to execute the one handed cut have your pinkie along the outside edge here, your three fingers along this outside edge here and your thumb along the most inside edge to you. What you want to do is you want to let the lower half of the deck drop into your hand. I have done this pushing up with my thumb. So I have the deck like this, and with my thumb I simply push up and let the remainder of the deck fall down into my hand because it is no longer supporting by my thumb. Gravity simply lets it fall into my hand. Once I have the deck like this I can now push up with the inside index finger and let the outside portion fall down into my hand. The portion that I just pushed up with my index finger well naturally fall down once the cards have cleared."
