"Hi welcome back I'm Pete Perata for Expert Village and now we are going to move in to our second shuffle. This shuffle is similar to the corner riffle shuffle, but it is just a straight riffle shuffle, that is, you are shuffling the cards along the edges rather than the corners. Let's get into that shuffling process now. While you find a lot of dealer in Las Vegas doing corner riffles shuffles you also see people do what is called the straight riffle shuffle. In order to do a straight riffle shuffle grab the deck as you did with the corner riffle shuffle and split them into two halves like this. Now that they are split and facing each other take your thumbs, put them on the inside of the cards as your other fingers rest on the outside of the deck. Close your hands on the deck, take your index fingers fold them over, and apply pressure to the backs of the deck while lifting the inside edges of the cards. The cards could now be released by the thumb and would slap down over each other as you release pressure with your thumb and continue to apply pressure with these two fingers. Now you can push the ends together and square the pack up. The cards are now shuffled. "
