How to Set-up a Fantasy Draft in Madden 08

In this free video series, our expert Phil Conrood will show you how to do a fantasy draft in madden 08. Phil will go through the draft round by round and tell you what picks are the best and which aren't as good. He will talk about his drafting philosophy so you can know how he is evaluating his draft picks, and he will recap after the draft to show you how you did, and how you can improve the next time.

"Hey, this is Phil Coonrod on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're gonna talk about Madden 08. OK, now we're gonna go ahead and talk about the fantasy draft here on Madden 08. This is one of my favorite features of the game. They've had them in past games. They started doing the fantasy draft a few years ago. It's just a really fun way of maybe trying to get a couple of your favorite players on the same team or just being able to really choose which team you use. So, we're gonna go ahead, and we are going to go to game modes. We're at we're in the main menu right now. We're gonna go to main games modes. We go to franchise. We're gonna go to new franchise. And we're gonna pick a team to be. Now since obviously none of the players on the current teams are gonna be on these teams, you want to just pick your favorite team, your hometown team or a team with your favorite colors or something. I'm pretty indifferent towards it. I'm gonna be the Giants. They have pretty, pretty sharp helmuts, I guess. So you hit X to select them, and then you just hit A. And then you're options are gonna come up. You're gonna get like put mine on all Madden. Salary cap on. Quarterly five minutes is good, and then here's our option, fantasy draft. We're gonna hit on. And then another, another feature they threw in here was being able to use the hall of famers in your fantasy draft. It's it's pretty cool to do that. You get a lot of talent on the football field when you play the computer or other guys or whatever it may be. But, I'm gonna go ahead and leave that off. I'm just gonna go with all the guys here in 08. So, just hit A and start your fantasy draft."
