"Now, after each round of betting in triple draw, you have the option to discard all five of your cards. You can discard five, four, three, two or one and have those cards replaced, or you can stand pat, which means you're not going to take anymore cards. Now, these cards would normally be all face down, but for the sake of our demonstration, we're going to look at them face up. Now the object is to make the best low hand that does not make a straight. So this player is going to throw away this jack, this nine and this five because it pairs his other five. Take three cards. Comes to him first because he's in the small blind. See how that changes things. Well he actually improved. He went to a pair of fives to a queen low. Now the next player wants to improve on his hand. He wants to throw away the jack and the ten and take two cards. His hand got worse because aces are always high in this game. And the following player, well he has a hand that should not even be played, but for the sake of this demonstration shall be. You can win with an eight low, so he's going to discard these three high cards. And he's going to go down to a queen low. And finally, there's this player. Again, he's got a dog hand for this game, but this is for demonstration. He's going to throw away these three high cards and hope to get three lower ones. There's a seven, a five and a four. At last, he went from a pair of kings to a pair of fours. But that is the first draw round of deuce to seven triple draw."
