"Hi, I’m Mike Camelin with SunState Aviation Flight School in Kissimmee, Florida for Expert Village and today we’re going to be talking about the main parts of the exterior of the aircraft. Now the main body of the aircraft is what is referred as the fuselage, attached to the fuselage are the other various parts of the airplane including the callin with the engine and the propeller, the wings of the aircraft, the landing gear of the aircraft and then towards the rear of the aircraft or the after the aircraft is what is referred to as the empennage. Now attached to the empennage we have some control surfaces, the horizontal control surface that we have attached to the back of the aircraft is what is known as the horizontal stabilizer and it has the elevator control surface attached to it. The vertical surface that we have attached to the aircraft is what is known as the vertical stabilizer, which also has the control surface attached to it which is known as the rudder. "
