"Throughout your monopoly experience you might encounter spaces called railroads and utilities. Railroads and utilities never turn the tide of the game and they will very rarely win the game but it may happen on occasion. However, they are good to have. They provide you with an extra source of income especially if you have 3 or 4 of them and in this case, this will usually be a constant source of revenue. They are also very good bargaining chips. As I said before, if you have one or two they will never win a game, so if you have one or two feel free to change it or trade it for property that you had your eye on for a while. Utilities basically take up space on the board. If you land on them you can buy them but also feel free to trade them for something even better than that. They don’t bring that much money in either so like I said feel free to trade it for something more important. "
