"MIKE LOPEZ: Hi. I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village, and today we're going to be discussing the black color from "Magic: The Gathering". And now, I'm going to discuss Mortal Combat. Mortal Combat is a very powerful enchantment who's been around since Tempest and Onslaught, and it is in the basic set now. It is a rare, it is an enchantment, it's not an enchant - aura, enchant - creature, enchant - land. It is enchantment, which means it stays permanently on the board until your opponent can disenchant it or destroy it in someway. Mortal combat costs you 2, and 2black and it is one of the most powerful enchantment, because this is what we call a "win game card." For 4 mana you getting enchantment that allows you to directly win of the game. Now, how is this accomplish is that this enchantment allows at the beginning of your upkeep, if you have 20 or more creature cards in your graveyard, you win the game. That means, if you have 20 creature cards in your graveyard at the beginning of your upkeep you automatically win the game. This is also not a [INDISCERNIBLE] effect. Also, this does not mean that if you forget about it, then you lose the game or that the person gets another play, because you forgot about it, it's an automatic trip, and it's an automatic game winner. Once again, you will see this card played in a heavy creature deck that allows you to cycle your library into your graveyard. However, if you have this card, you could win as easily as turn four or even by turn eight or nine, you can play this card and have an instant win."
