"MIKE LOPEZ: Hi. I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village. And today, we'll be discussing the blue cards from the blue block of Magic: The Gathering. Now, we're going to discuss Shimmering Wings. Shimmering Wings is out of the blue block. It is in the basic set, 10th edition. It has an X. It's a blue; it's an enchantment. It is an aura, which means it is an enchanted creature card, which means when this comes into play, you have to place the target and place this card or enchant a creature that is already on the table. Now, this enchanted creature, as you see here, now has flying. But as an added bonus, this card also has a personal bounce effect. Enchanted creature has flying, but you may also pay one and return Shimmering Wings to its owner's hand. Now, once again, this is not, and anybody can play this ability, so your opponent cannot play it. However, you can. So when you attach this to a creature that does not have flying, it gains flying. And if that creature goes into combat then and dies, you can pay one blue. And instead of the Shimmering Wings enchantment going into the graveyard with the creature, you can place it back in your hand, play it again and enchant another creature that does not have flying and give them flying. Once again, this is very powerful because creatures with flying can only be blocked by creatures with flying and/or creatures with reach."
