"Hi, this is Mike Lopez with Expert Village and today we'll be discussing the red Magic color. Now we're going to go over Shock. Once again Shock has been around, has been in every set and expansion sets for a really long time. Shock, one red. One red: "Shock deals two damage to target creature or player." Plain and simple, right out the gate, the first round, the first turn, bam! You hit someone automatically for two before they knew what hit them. Very powerful card. Instantly, once again it takes you from dealing with someone who's at twenty life to dealing with someone who's at teen, eighteen. Also, it's an Instant which means it can be played at any phase in the game. Meaning you could play it during their main phase, during their combat phase, during their second main phase, during the end turn, during your upkeep. You can play this at any time. And this means you could play this anytime also, it's very powerful for taking out those creatures that blocked or the little nuisance creatures that are running around that give their people abilities or give your opponent certain abilities that you don't want them to have. And it only costs you one Manna to play this spell. Very powerful instant. Red only. If there's red in your deck you should probably have one of these or some other type direct type burn like Electrostatic Bolt or Bolt."
