"Hi, this is Mike Lopez with Expert Village and today we'll be discussing the red Magic color. And now we're going to go over Lave Axe. Lava Axe is a Sorcery. It's a Common. It is one of the basic red Sorcery spells. It's four and a red which means you are paying Mana equal to the damage it does because the converted Mana cost is five. The damage dealt is five. You're not getting nothing for free here. It's not really, it's not, it's cost efficient. It's exactly what it is. You don't pay more, you don't pay less. However, the reason you would put this in your deck is because it is five damage and it is known as, we like to call, a clean-up card. Once a player decides to take damage from a certain area if they only have five or less damage to go, five or less life to go, then during your second main phase you would drop this card because they don't know it's in your hand because once again, it is still in your hand. They don't know where it's coming from and you will hit them for five before they expect it just to finish the game. It is a great clean-up card for five or less life."
