Magic: The Gathering is a collectible card game introduced in 1994 that boasts an amazing 6 million plus players worldwide. The game is played by two or more players who use decks of cards (or libraries) to battle with magical spells, items, and fantastic creatures depicted on the cards. The game was derived from role playing games, but bares a closer resemblance to bridge or poker. The complex rules and card meanings will challenge even the most avid card-player. One of the most interesting aspects of Magic is the color of the different cards. White cards represent order, blue represent knowledge, black is the color of death, red represents chaos and green is the color of life in this card game.
In this free video series, watch as professional gamer Mike Lopez teaches how to play Magic the Gathering with red chaos cards. Learn all the different card names and what they do in the game. Improve your knowledge of this mystical game so you can continue to enjoy it with friends all over the world.
"Hi, this is Mike Lopez with Expert Village, and today we're going to be discussing the red Magic color in Magic: the Gathering. We'll be discussing the staples and most powerful cards that have ever been made in Magic that you will see time and time again. They will be there and we will show you how to use them in combat and why you would use them in given scenarios and it will help you to build a powerful red deck or to show you how red colors go together. All right. Here we're going to discuss the Shivan Dragon. This is my all-time favorite dragon. It is out of the red block of Magic. It's a very powerful red card. As you can see it's the Shivan Dragon, costs you four colorless and two red. It's a creature. It's a dragon. As you can see over here, it's rare. From the tenth edition. It has the ability Flying and it has the ability Bolster One which means you can pay one mountain and for every mountain you pay this way the Shivan Dragon gets 1/ 0 until the end of turn. It's a 5/5 creature. Now, once again, the reason it's a 5/5 creature and costs six instead of five is because it has two abilities. Normally each ability would cost you one more however you're getting a free ability here, in Flying, which you will see a lot of times in creatures that are dragons."

on 1/19/2009 The only reason I signed up here was to point out just how bad these videos are. These analysis are amateur, and very poorly rehearsed. Reading a card aloud does not explain how to play it. Anyone can read a card, and most would be able to assume that a dragon will usually be flying. Mr. Lopez provides no useful information about this card, whatsoever. Useful information would include his suspected effectiveness of the card and why that is, along with comparisons of other cards in the metagame. The firebreathing (bolster one) ability is especially worth noting because this can easily win the game for you, but there's no mention about this at all beyond what it does and what it means.
Here is an example of a good series of card analyss:
