"MIKE LOPEZ: Hi. I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village, and today we're going to be discussing the black color from "Magic: The Gathering". And now I'm going to discuss mind rot. Mind rot is another powerful sorcery utility card for your black discard domination deck or your blue black control deck control domination. It is a common card out of the basic set. It has been around for a very long time and what this card does is that you pay 2 and a black to play this card during your first or second main phase and target player discards two cards. Now, once again, the player gets the choice of which card he wants to discard. However, he has to discard two cards which once again means that there's two cards that he will not be able to play and if you are running with a Megrim, then he will also lose life for discarding cards. Once again, this is a very powerful card because it allows you to limit what your player--your opponent can do cause he has to discard cards and if you have other cards that hurt him for discarding cards, then this is a very, very beneficial utility card for that purpose."
