"MIKE LOPEZ: Hi. I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village. And today, we'll be discussing the blue cards from the blue block of Magic: The Gathering. And here, we have Surging Aether, another very, very powerful card. Now, from the Coldsnap, it's been Coldsnap think snow, think winter fix from snow. It will cost you three and a blue. It is an instant. Now, the powerful thing about this instant is that, yes, it is a very expensive bounce, so it is a very expensive boomerang. It returns target permanent to its owner's hand. Now, you're saying why would you play this instead of playing your boomerang which only cost you two, again, if you're playing a heavy-control deck, you want this effect. You also want this effect if you are going to play a lot of control, especially using four Surging Aethers in your deck, because this card also has ripple for four, which, as you can see here, is whenever you play this spell, you may reveal, once again, you may--the effect is triggered, but you do not have to this. But if you are playing Surging Aether spells, especially if you have four of them, you will reveal the top four cards of your library and any revealed cards have the same name as this spell, which means any other Surging Aether cards, that are revealed in this manner can now be put into play without paying their cost, which means that if you happen to have one, two or all three of the remaining Surging Aether cards on the top of your library or in the top four of your library then you can bounce not only one, but you can bounce two, three or four permanents back to the owner's hand for only paying four, which with the boomerangs would cost you six. One again, it cuts the mana cost. Play your powerful cards from Coldsnap."
