"MIKE LOPEZ: Hi. I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village, and today we're going to be discussing the black color from "Magic: The Gathering". Here we have Thieving Sprite. Thieving Sprite is a utility card for your faerie deck, out of the Lorwyn block. It is a common, it is 2 and a black to play. It's a creature, faerie rogue. It's a very powerful faerie because it's a 1/1 for 2 and a black, and has flying, so you're going to get a couple of abilities which are 1/1. So, that's flying, which means it can only be blocked by flying and/or creature with reach, and when Thieving Sprite comes into play, target player reveals X cards from his/her hand where X is the number of faeries you control. You choose one of those cards and that player has to discard this card. So, if you have two or more faeries then you could, technically, look at all the cards in your opponent's hand, and choose which one that you want them to discard. That is what makes this a very powerful card for your control domination in your blue-black faerie deck."
