"MIKE LOPEZ: Hi. I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village. And today, we'll be discussing the blue cards from the blue block of Magic: The Gathering. And now, we're going to discuss Sift. Sift is one of my all-time favorite sorcery cards from the blue block. It's a common. It's 20-25 cents at your local store. It's from the basic set. It's three and the blue, but it's a really cool card because you get to draw three cards and then discard a card, which allows you to cycle through your library. The reason you would want to play this is because the faster you get through your library, the quicker you'll find the card you need for your deck to work. Once again, most decks are built off on one or two cards that you must get in order to seal your deck idea. In this case, the blue allows you to get through three cards and this card, which ever card you choose or which ever card you do not need at the moment. So it is very, very powerful. It's often used in your second main phase; because after your first main phase, you want to make sure that you use mana or have used mana efficiently. If you still have mana open during your second main phase after combat, then you would use this just to draw cards."
