"Hi, I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village and today we'll be discussing artifacts from Magic the Gathering. Now we're going to discuss Doubling Cube. Doubling Cube is a very, very powerful artifact from your basic set in your basic addition. It is a rare, as you see, because it is gold, which is also in the tenth addition. As you can see from this icon it is an artifact, which means it can only be dealt with by things that deal with artifacts. Doubling Cube costs you two to put out and is very powerful because of it's ability. The ability it has is that you pay three mana and you tap it. And double the amount of each type of mana in your mana pool. Once again, you can pay three to tap this and double your mana. What this means is, you're running an X spell, or anything like that, and you wanted to maximize your mana. Then you would tap all of your mana, say you had four mana, and you wanted to tap the mana and double the mana that is currently in your mana pool, you can. Or if you had six mana. Now, I know what you're thinking, that you paid three and you doubled the mana that is in your mana pool, but sometimes it requires the use of types of mana. Once again, if you're trying to double the amount of plains you need, or the amount of specific things that you need, or if you have eight mana and you paid three and then you doubled the five then you have ten mana instead of the original eight. This is a very multi use card that is good in any deck that requires the use of large mana types. Especially for large mana creatures and/or X spells."
