on 8/2/2008 FYI, that's actually not a very good enchantment. At least you didn't make the mistake of thinking that it would deal damage to the defending player if first strike damage killed a blocker.

"Hi, this is Mike Lopez with Expert Village, and today we are going to discuss and show you the white color from Magic: the Gathering. And now we're going to go over Battle Mastery. It's a cool card, Enchantments, you'll find a lot of white Enchantments. You'll find a lot of white Instants. You'll find a few white Sorceries, but here we have one of the great Enchantments. It's two and a white. It's an Uncommon from the Lorwyn, it's an Enchant creature. Enchanted creature has Double Strike. Double Strike, what Double Strike means is that when you Enchant creature it has Double Strike. So, right here we have Enchanted Stormfront Riders. Enchanted creature has Double Strike, what this means is that when this creature deals damage it deals both First Strike damage and regular combat damage. Which means that if it is attacking and a creature blocks it it deals four damage, First Strike damage. If the creature is still alive, say the creature is an 8/8 when it comes to regular combat damage it would deal another four damage to that creature. Which means that that 8/8 just got killed by a 4/3 because of the Double Strike. It's also, runs into the effect, this creature has Flying. If the opponent does not have Flying creatures then it cannot block Flying creatures and when this creature hits a player it, once again, deals First Strike damage and regular combat damage which means this creature is capable of hitting the other player for eight instead of four because it has Double Strike."
