"Hi, this is Mike Lopez with Expert Village. Today we're going to be discussing Magic, The Gathering, and the card game. Okay now that we've gone over introductions, cards, abilities, and how to play the game, now there is winning. There are three ways to win in Magic. There is damage dealt through direct damage such as the sorcery fireball. And since we have seven lives, they pay one, burn seven more manna, and take us down to zero of further for overkill in which case you are dead. This card can deal combat damage, this is the creature card, it's the seven. Once again if it hits us we go down to zero and we are dead. This card right here says directly on the card, at the beginning of seven player?s upkeep, if there are more than twenty creature cards in that person?s graveyard, they automatically win the game. That is just an outright win card. This is called a win card. Now the reason for overkill is, for instance, if I have a card in my hand such as an instant, that gives me six life and they burn me just for seven. I could take the seven damage and in that instant go right down to six, or right back up to six, in which case they would have to hit me for six more to kill me. Losses from creatures, on the other hand, have to come from damage during combat. Now this creature is flying, which gives it the ability to go over the other creatures that don't have flying or can't block flying, and that is trampling which gets through all of the seven creatures that don't sustain all of the seven damages. Once again the creature must get through your defenses before it deals damage to you. For instance, if you don't have a flying card then it would automatically kill you in this instance and you would lose the game because your life had been reduced to zero. And that's how to win."

on 8/2/2008 You forgot milling (opponent not being able to draw a card) and poison counters (a player with 10 or more poison counters automatically loses when state based effects are checked).
