"MIKE LOPEZ: Hi. I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village, and today we're going to be discussing the black color from "Magic: The Gathering". And here we have another staple and signature card from Wizards of the Coast, and Magic the Gathering that has been around from quite some time. It's called Royal Assassin. It's a creature - human assassin, which means, since it says, assassin on the end and it's part of the creature subtype, then he is going to have a cool, destroyed creature ability. So, again he is a rare from the basic black, which is currently in its tenth edition which as you can see by the icon, and costs you 1and 2 black to play. Now, once again this is turn 3, because its converted mana cost is 3, and usually on turn 3 is when you have three mana, and you're getting a 1/1. And now, once again, 1 black to play the spell and one for the 1/1, pretty much almost even and you have to pay an extra one. Well, the extra one comes in right here, because Royal Assassin has the ability to tap him and you destroy target tapped creature. Now, once again, you destroy target tapped creature. It doesn't matter what color the creature is, and that creature cannot be regenerated. So, again creatures tap for abilities and they tap when they attack. So, whenever, an opponent taps a creature, you can tap Royal Assassin and destroy that creature. It's a very, very good card to have if you're running a deck that wants to run a lot of creature destruction."
