"MIKE LOPEZ: Hi. I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village. And today, we'll be discussing the blue cards from the blue block of Magic: The Gathering. And now, we're going to discuss Drowner of Secrets. Drowner of Secrets, a very interesting card, a very annoying card, it's a two and a blue, its converted mana cost of three. It's an uncommon, as we see, from the Lorwyn set. It's another merfolk wizard. It's a 1/3. You paid three and you're getting one extra point of defense, but you're missing a point of damage. The reason for this is merfolk--this is a defensive merfolk, and you're really playing him for his ability. Now, paying that point of damage that you could do is very good in this instance because he gives you the ability to tap and untap merfolk, and that's any merfolk you control, it's any merfolk you control, and target player puts the top card of his or her library directly into his graveyard. Now, this is very powerful because if you have a number of merfolk, if you have a whole bunch of merfolk, then you can use this ability constantly, which means if you have five merfolk, you can instantly make the top five cards of your opponent's library go into the graveyard."
