"Hi, I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village and today we'll be discussing artifacts from Magic the Gathering. Now I'm going to discuss Chimeric Staff. Chimeric Staff is a powerful artifact from the basic set. You can see right here, that it's in the basic set right now. Tenth edition, and it is a rare, as we can see by the icon, is an artifact which means you put it in play and it stays in play until someone can deal with it. Once again, it is not a creature, it is more like an enchantment, but artifacts are harder to get rid of. And what we have here, is Chimeric Staff. Costs you four colorless, and it has an X ability. One again that means that you can tap and put as much mana into this X and pay as much as you want to make the X's over here higher. Now, what the X's mean, is that you pay the mana and Chimeric Staff becomes an X/X construct artifact creature until end of turn. Which means if you have 6 mana, then this staff becomes a 6/6 creature. Once again, he becomes a 6/6 creature. If it is dealt 6 damage during this time then it will die and will go to the graveyard. However, if not, it will still be around, and you can constantly make it a 6/6 creature. This makes this card very powerful."
