on 8/2/2008 Again, Lorwyn, not Landwar. It is not a "must for any elf deck" There are plenty of elves larger than 2/2s and the other 2/2s are often better than this. See Imperious Perfect, Bramblewood Paragon, Wolf-Skull Shaman, Wren's Run Vanquisher (technically a 3/3). Turning lands into creatures is usually not that good if it costs you much because it allows them to easily be killed, thus allowing the opponent to remove a creature and a land in one shot.
