"Hi this is Mike Lopez with Expert Village. Today we're going to be discussing Magic: the Gathering the card game. And now we're going to go over instant cards. Instant cards can be played at any phase of the game or in-between any phase of the game. These are very, very powerful cards. They are usually also very cheap in mana cost. Here we have a white instant, Reviving Dose. It's 2 and a plains, which is actually a little on the pricey side for an instant, but this card, as almost every instant in the white group has, you gain 3 life. Not only do you get to gain 3 life, you also get to draw a card. Which is why this card costs you 2 and a plains rather than one and a plains. Because most white gain life. We have Peek. This is a blue instant. It costs you one blue, one island. You get to look at target player's hand and draw a card. Once again this is a common card you'll see in blue spells. About looking at target players cards and about doing something to target players cards. Once again you get to draw a card, which is very famous for blue. And then we have a green instant. This is Giant Growth. Very, very popular card because it costs you one green. But target creature gets 3/ 3 until end of turn. On any attacking venture or defending venture, you can automatically bump up one of your creatures 3/ 3. Here we have Stun. Which is a red instant. As most red instants are attack based, this one is also. It costs you one and a mountain. This one lets you target a creature and that creature can not block this turn. So, it can not be used as a blocker an therefore more of your people get through. Once again red is an attack and you also get to draw a card. These are all instant cards and they can be played at any phase of the game, in-between any phase of the game, or in response to another player's actions. So, a person's attacking, blocking or doing anything during any phases. You can play any of these cards at any time to do their abilities at that moment."
