"MIKE LOPEZ: Hi. I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village, and today we're going to be discussing the black color from "Magic: The Gathering". And now we're going to go over "Ravenous Rats". "Ravenous Rats" is another creature card that has been around for as long as I can remember was in the beta. It is a creature rat and which means it gets benefits and can do really cool stuff with rats. They are all rat decks. Once again, it is a common out of your basic set, 10th edition. "Ravenous Rats" cost you 1 and a black to play, which means its converted mana cost is 2. It is a 1/1 creature that you paid 2 for, but this also means you're going to get a really cool ability. The cool ability here is that when Ravenous Rats comes into play, the target opponent discards a card. This is what you call a turn-burn card for a [INDISCERNIBLE] or a mill deck because this creature, although he is a 1 and a black only a 1/1, it causes your opponent to discard a card and discarding a card from his hand. That's a card that he cannot play. And once again, if you play two of these back-to-back then he would have to discard two cards. There are a lot of discard cards and discard creatures in the black set and this is what they call "Domination"."
