"Hi this is Mike Lopez with Expert Village. Today we're going to be discussing Magic: the Gathering the card game. Now we're going to over tapping and mana conversion. Mana conversion is all about your mana pool. It's an imaginary pool, that when you tap a land, gets a certain amount of colored or colorless mana, which you can spend on spell cards. Here we have our hand. This mana is already on the table. What you do is you tap it, which means you turn it to the right. And then you play a spell. This spell right here costs one black. Remember these are in our hand, so we're going to play them, from our hand to the table. What I'm going to do is, this has one and there is one in our mana pool. You take this and you lay it on the table, it is an instant, it is not a sorcery, it is an instant, so you automatically get 3 swamps added to your mana pool. Now that you have spent that, you now have 3 swamps in your mana pool and you also have this card in your hand. This costs a 2 and a swamp. What you are now going to do is lay this card, once again that mana is already in your mana pool, so you don't have to tap anything else to lay this card down. You just say that you have 3 in your mana pool and that you are going to spend those three on this card and you will lay this card on the table."
