"MIKE LOPEZ: Hi. I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village. And today, we'll be discussing the blue cards from the blue block of Magic: The Gathering. Now, we're going to go over Fugitive Wizard. Fugitive Wizard is a very classic staple of the blue block. It's always been in the basic set since Alpha and Beta. One blue, you get a 1/1 creature. Once again, you're not getting anything for free. But it's a 1/1 creature; it comes out first turn; you drop him down. This is what we've known as a classic move, because A, he comes out fast. So if your opponent does not have a deck that comes out fast, you'll get a free hit in or several free hits in. Also, if somebody else does come out fast or in case you need a blocker, once again, you can sacrifice this little guy as a little pawn in front of even an 8/8. Because as long as that 8/8 does not have trample, all the damage will actually get dealt to Fugitive Wizard and you will not sustain any damage. Also, another interesting thing is that, says here, classification as a human wizard. So if you have any other creatures, cards, bonuses, enchantments that build up humans or wizards, which there are a lot of them out there for both, then this card will get the bonuses for all of those. Once again, wizards like to go together."
