"Hi this is Mike Lopez with Expert Village. Today we're going to be discussing Magic: the Gathering the card game. Here we have red set from Magic: the Gathering. This is called the burn set. There are a lot of large creatures, mountainous creatures, goblins, minotaur?s, giants, Cyclops. These things are all meant to help you after you get initial burn or burn power. Burn power is dealing direct damage to a target player through a sorcery spell, instant, or enchantment. Such spells as Fireball, which deal direct damage and Incinerate, deal direct damage to certain targets, creature or player and this is why it's called the burn set. Also, the other point of the red color is to build up attack. It is all about attack and not so much defense. That's why you have instants and enchantments in the red set that only give you power to your strength and not to your toughness. Because this set is all about maximum damage."

on 3/21/2009 You missed the point. Mike Lopez has to keep making magic videos, because they're funny. Yes, he said that:
This is the red set (facepalm)
It is called the burn set (facepalm)
You should play your burn spells before you play your creatures (facepalm)
"Burn power" (facepalm)
"Attack/Defense" (facepalm)
"Strength" (facepalm)
That's six blatant mistakes in 1:07. This stuff is awesomely funny. Keep it up :D.

on 9/21/2008 It's not "the red set." Each block has sets, and each set is broken up into cards which have colours to them (excepting artifacts, and Ghost Fire). Yes, red is most well known for burn, but it's not "the burn set."
I don't know what you're talking about when you say "burn power."
You're reasoning for why it's called the "burn set" is also terrible; two cards?
I'm not even sure how to respond to the rest of your video. Although it holds some truth, it's not very accurate to the idea behind the red aspect of magic.
Mike Lopez, please get banned from ever making another MtG video EVER again.
