"MIKE LOPEZ: Hi. I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village and today, we're going to be discussing the black color from "Magic: The Gathering". And now we're going to discuss "Phyrexian Rager". "Phyrexian Rager" is a powerful card. It is a creature - horror. It is from the basic set, and once again, which is in its 10th edition and it is a common, which mean you can find it for 20 cents to 25 cents at your local store. An X ranger comes in but you have to pay two and a black and once again, the converted mana cost on this card is 3, and there's two colorless and a black and you're going to get a 2/2 creature but you also going to get an ability, and once again this is a black card, so your ability is probably going to come with the negative because you are getting a 2/2. Now, when Phyrexian Rager comes in a play, you draw a card and you lose one life. This is not a [SOUNDS LIKE] "may" effect. This is a fact that has to happen, so you are going to draw a card and you are going to lose one life when you play this card. And once again, protection does not help you because this is not damaged. This is loss of life, which cannot be prevented at any time."
