"MIKE LOPEZ: Hi. I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village, and today we're going to be discussing the black color from "Magic: The Gathering". And now I'm going to discuss Nath's Buffoon. Nath's Buffoon is a very powerful card at Lorwyn block. Once again, when you think Lorwyn block, you have to think creature--creature "Development". So again, you got your creature types; Goblins, Elves, Giants, Treefolk. All these creature types are all getting benefits from this black, and it's common, and to play Nath's Buffoon, it cost you one and a black, which means it has a converted mana cost of two and for a converted mana cost of two, you're getting 1/1 with an ability. This ability right here is going to be really powerful because this card has protection from elves. Now, once again, it has protection from elves, which means it has protection from all elves including elf spells now and tribal elf instants, and it's very powerful because it has protection from all elves, which means it does not matter what color the elf is, but as long as it says "Elf" on the card, (in the subtype) then this card cannot be targeted or affected by those cards. It's a very powerful card."
