How to Attack Around Trees in Heroscape

"MIKE LOPEZ: Hi, I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village and today we'll be discussing Heroscape and its expansion sets. And now I'm going to discuss line of sight and attacking when trees come into play. Now, trees are unique to the Road to the Hidden Forest expansion for Heroscape. And as its states in the rules, you cannot see through trees and or attack through trees. Now, as we see here, we have a soldier behind a tall evergreen tree and we have Syvarris, our hero, on the other side. Now, Syvarris has an attack range of nine which the soldier's only 1, 2, 3, 4 spaces away. However, you cannot clearly see the soldier because he's on the other side of the tree and cannot shoot through the tree. So, he either has to move to a place where he can clearly see a hittable area which is not this side. He'd have to move all the way over here to see a hittable area on the soldier. Whereas to get around the tree, so you would have to move all the way over there or if you moved on top of this bridge up here, then he could use one of the line of sight markers to look down over the tree and hit the vulnerable area on the soldier and deal damage to him. And those are the two ways to get around the trees in the expansion, Road to the Hidden Forest."
