"MIKE LOPEZ: Hi, I'm Mike Lopez with Expert Village and today we'll be discussing Heroscape and its expansion sets. And now we're going to go over being adjacent on the same ladder. Now here, we have Syvarris who is at the top of the ladder and we have this creature down here at the bottom of the ladder and currently they are not adjaced or engaged. Now, if Syvarris were to move down the ladder further, he were to move down the ladder further, until the point where he cannot move any further down. Once again you cannot move any further down if there is a creature on the ladder. Now, if Syvarris were to move down here, then these creatures would be adjacent and engaged which means they would take the leave attack if either one moves away from being adjacent. Also, if the creature on the bottom had moved up to where it could no longer move up, i.e. this rung right here then he would also be adjacent to Syvarris and therefore would attack Syvarris for leave damage if Syvarris were to leave the ladder and go over to this tunnel. Once again, this is very important when determining when you are adjacent and engaged for leave attack and leave attack damage which is vital to the game of Heroscape."
