Series Summary

Heroscape is a turn-based table top miniature wargaming system by Milton Bradley. Players assemble various 3D hexagonal board pieces to form the playing surface, which is occupied by miniature figurines of a wide variety of creatures and characters. The figurines themselves are of a high quality and well-painted, an important selling point that gamers look for in such table top games. The scenarios are inspired by a range of genres and time periods including science fiction, fantasy, medieval Europe, the old west, japan, Nordic, and a host of assorted mythologies.

In this free video series our expert Mike Lopez will teach you how to play the basic version of the table top rpg heroscape. He will teach you how to start a game, how to build land, and how to attack and defend. Mike will show you all about the cards, the battlefields, range, line of sight, attacking, movement, heroes, squads, turns, and levels. Mike will even show you how to decide who to attack, where to move, and who moves first. Mike also talks about movement into and out of water, double spaced pieces, and attacking multiple targets, so whatever level gamer you are this series will cast a level 5 charm spell on you!

"MIKE LOPEZ: Hi! I'm Mike with the Expert Village. And today, we'll be discussing the basic version of "Heroscape", the tabletop game. And now we're going to discuss how to start the game. Starting the game requires that you have a certain number of pieces; pieces being landscape or battlefield pieces, your action-figure pieces, both in single space [INDISCERNIBLE] and double spaces. You will have cards, attack dice which are red, and defense dice which are blue; and you'll also have game scenarios that will also have come with your package, as well as a manual on the rules and how to play the basic game of "Heroscape.""
