"I’m Molly Mackey with Expert Village and I just want to say a few words if you’re thinking about becoming an independent bookseller. There’s a few things to consider; first of all you need a lot space to do something of this large, you need at least, I would say enough room to carry five thousand books, five thousand books is a very good income coming in monthly. Another thing to consider is you’re going to be doing a lot of shipping, it’s tedious work, there’s a lot of trips to the post office and things you might not think about, a lot of ordering of supplies so you want to consider that as well. Other things to consider do you live in an area where you’re going to be able to constantly re-supply your demand, because I sell up to twenty, thirty books a day sometimes and you need to replace those so it’s a good ting to plan your trips well, get out to the thrift shops, the estate sales, that type of thing to replenish your inventory.
