"Hi, my name is Molly Mackey and I’m with Expert Village and now we’re going to talk about copyrighting and how to identify certain printings. So, first we’re going to start off with a general used book. One of the most important things when you’re buying used books is that you want to look for something that has minimal printings. You don’t want something that has been printed fifty times because that obliviously would decrease the value, there’s more of them out there. So printing is always listed on the inside copyright page. They are sometimes listed a little differently so that it can be tricky, this particular one is a third impression 1984, the book was published in 1982 and this is a third impression so that’s a pretty good, I would go for that book, I would generally think that there might be a demand for something like that. One other example quickly is the common, this is the more common identifier for a printing, you’ll have your publishing date up here and you want to look down here at these numbers and they usually start backwards at ten. So the very first one is a four, that means it’s a fourth printing, so that does not mean it’s a tenth printing, it’s a fourth printing. You look at the very first number on the right. "
