"My name is Malcolm Davis, I’m a professional Backgammon player. I’m here for expertvillage.com to hopefully teach you basically how to play. Now then for simplification, let’s say that this time I roll, say I roll four-four. Any number I can’t come in no matter this is the same thing as four-five, four-six, or three-six because none of those numbers will enter. My opponent owns all of these points, so to make this game, not to be so redundant and repetitive and make it more simple we will say and it happens, let’s say that he rolls double sixes again. Which is, to roll two double sixes in a roll is highly unusual but it does happen. So notice one, two, three, four, five, six and then there’s any number of ways to play the other three sixes, maybe one, two, three, four, five, six and maybe one, two, three, four, five, six. Notice we played four sixes and I’m in terrible trouble if I roll double aces that are two ones, if I happen to be fortunate enough to roll something like this, it would be a miracle or even better. My very best roll would be double twos, it would come in here with both checkers and hit this block, putting him on the roof and then the other two would go here, putting the second checker on the roof. That would put me back in the game."
