" Alright everybody, a few words on keeping your throws under control. Now one of the things, one of the mistakes I made when I was learning how to juggle, I taught myself out of a book, is that I didn't realize that when I started adding more objects it was going to get a lot more frantic and so, I sort of went on to the second step before I had good control over my throw. So I want to encourage you to spend some time, you know, maybe a couple of hours even, working on making your throws as even as you can. You know, and even today, I kind of have a bad habit of not being able to keep them exactly the same height. But I want to encourage you to work on not having your hands go out too far to the sides, not too far out, not too far down, basically being able to throw the ball back and forth without having too much movement out of this area here. You know my elbows are at my sides and my hands are out in front of me like this. Naturally when you start doing some trick juggling, there's going to be some more freedom of movement. But the fundamentals depend on not having too much extra movement. So, you want to make sure your wrist is nice and stiff, okay, you don't want to let it lag too much forward or back, not too much to the sides, nice comfortable stance. And make sure your feet are about shoulder width apart and that'll help you with some of your sideways body movement. So really, the thing you want to concentrate on is being able to throw the ball to your hand, like that. And it's easier than you think. If you're an adult and you can drive a car, you're going to find out that juggling is easier than driving a car once you get used to it. But work on keeping your throws under control and not having to chase them all over the room and that'll help you a lot when you're juggling later on."
