Improv Comedy Games: Man on the Street

"Hey guys. We're here today learning how to play some fun new improv games for your improv team, and now Dan B. and I are going to teach you guys a game called Man on the Street. Now to play Man on the Street, you're going to need two improvisers up on stage, one being an interviewer for a popular late night television show, and the other person playing a man on the street. Now, the interviewer is going to ask the man on the street a series of questions, and the man on the street is going to begin to answer the questions, but he's going to hesitate with a lot of ums and pauses. At that point in time, he's going to point to the audience and the audience is going to suggest an answer to fill in his hesitation. It's a fun game, everyone has a blast playing it, and the audience has at on of fun watching it. So for this demonstration, since we don't have an audience, I'm going to assume the role of both the interviewer and the audience to feed you suggestions. So let's just see how far we go. Hi guys, my name is Mick Scalper, and I'm here with your man on the street interviews with, what's your name? My name is Dur Wood. We're here today asking people how they feel about, how they feel about the subway system. What are your thoughts? Subway system. I don't really believe in any kind of unnatural mode of transportation. I'm a walker, myself, and when I walk in the park, I constantly am bombarded with, uh, um, with. You're bombarded with people throwing animals at you. People throwing animals at me. I mean, like it's a dog park, so they're throwing their dogs. And this one guy had a certain breed of dog, it was a uh, um, uh. A schnauzer. It was a schnauzer, and he bit my um. Your butt. My butt! Wow. That, I definitely understand you. And that's how you play Man on the Street."
