Improv Comedy Games: Finger Puppets

"Hey guys, we're here today learning how to play some Improv exercises and in the next exercise, we're going to show you is a fun game called finger puppets. Now to play finger puppets, we're going to have two or three improvisers create a scene but instead of the two actors playing the characters, their fingers are going to play the characters. Now, if you've been following are series might see a similar warm-up called, "Where Have My Fingers Been." Now, with "Where Have My Fingers Been," the individual actor creates a three line story playing both roles. In this situation each actor is going to have their own roles and they?re going to create a scene like you would if you actors were playing the characters but your fingers are going to do it instead. So, Dampy and I are going to go ahead and demonstrate and let's assume that are audience suggestion for a location was inside a cardboard box factory. That's find with you. Matt finger 1: [making blowing sounds] Dampy: Well, looks like new line of cardboard boxes are shipping out as needed in planned. Matt finger 1: They are Sir but I... I need to talk to you about the schedule. It's a little bit over whelming. Dampy: Oh, really? Matt finger 1: My hands are cracking. I can barely keep up with this. I, I can't get the boxes fold fast enough. Dampy: [chuckled] Well, Jerry nobody ever gotten any where in life by just laying down and not doing anything. You can't go through life being lazy. These cardboard boxes need to be made and shipped for the world to use. Matt finger 1: Well, all do respect Sir, I'm hardly lying down. I'm, I mean I've been working my hand to the bone. I've even, I've even tried to get some help. Matt finger 2: Hi, my name is Ron, I came to help him. Matt finger 1: Yeah, Ron came to help me and even still we, we can barely get this done in time. Is there any sort of solution, you can offer? Dampy: Well, I'll just have to fire you and hire Ron. [Laugh] Matt finger 2 Ron: Sounds good to me. Matt finger 1: No! You couldn't possibly do that do me Sir. Dampy: You're fired. Matt finger 1: Sir! Oh. And that's how you play finger puppets."
