"Hey guys, we're learning how to do some Improv exercises and the next exercise we're going to show you today is called the Accepting Game. To play the Accepting Game, you're going to want to choose two improvisers to perform a brief scene. Now one of those improvisers is going to be limited in their responses. Their responses are going to be one of three. Sounds good to me, I'll go along with that, and Okay, great. Now the point of this exercise is to learn how to, "Yes And". Which is to agree with and then add more information? Now in this case, we're only going to learn how to agree. We're just really focused on yes, yes, I, I accept your idea and we're going to move forward with it. The other improviser is unlimited. They can initiate anything they want and in fact, with the one improviser being limited to agreeing. The responsibility on the other improviser to initiate the next direction or the next bit of information in the scene. So the first improviser can agree to it. So once again those responses are: Sounds good to me, I'll go along with that, and Okay, great. So Dan B and I are going to do a brief demonstration of that. And Dan B, you want to be the limited improviser? Sure. And I'll be the unlimited improviser. Sounds good to me. Alright. Okay. Our scene is going to take place in a bathroom where we're both getting ready for work in the morning. Okay. Hey can you hand me the mouthwash? Okay, great. Oh thanks man. Hey, I was thinking after work, we should, we should go see a movie. What do you think? Sounds good to me. Cool. I'll just get online and buy some tickets then? Oh yeah, I'll go along with that. Okay, cool. Cool. Listen, I know you like horror movies. I was wondering if maybe we can see a comedy this time. Sounds good to me. Really? Thanks man, that's great. Okay, great. And that's more or less how you play the Accepting Game. You just, it's it's a great activity, especially if one of your improvisers is not necessarily in the mood to add information or it's a good way to get yourself warmed up. So I think you guys will have fun with the Accepting Game."
