"Hi. I?m Melina Piroso and welcome to Expert Village. Today, I?m going to show you how to make a cute little bag out of regular, everyday fabric. For this next step, we're going to draw out the inner lining of our bag. So, we're going to take the outer part of our bag that we have cut and pinned and we're going to place it right over the top of the fabric that we're going to use for our lining. Now, if you want, you can just not do this, not trace it and kind of use your measurements as a guide. You know, this was ten inches, this is seven inches, so now I?m going to bring everything in a little big smaller. Me personally, I?m not a math person. This is how I like to do it, this is what I think is easier and as long as you're careful, then this is an easier way to do it. So, you're going to take your chalk and you're going to draw all around the edges; you're basically tracing it and you're going to stay as close as possible to the edge of the bag. So, now we have this piece that is going to be our lining. But, it's not ready yet because, as of now, it is the same exact size as our bag and it's the lining and the lining has to go inside of the bag, so we're going to have to make it a little bit smaller. So, we're going to take our ruler and we're going to make it...you have to calculate that you have a half inch seam allowance. Half inch seam allowance all around. And, since we're making it a little bit smaller, we're going to go in about a quarter inch on each side. About a quarter inch on each side. Don't really worry about the top too much because you can always cut the top."
